Aart Bontekoning

Aart Bontekoning was born on a farm in West Friesland. He is a social psychologist and specialized in (cultural) change processes and generational diversity. In the 1990s he saw young professionals get stuck in outdated corporate cultures. Between 2000 and 2007, this led to his Ph.D. research into 'the power of new generations in (aging) organizations.' He developed a generation theory, a unique research methodology, and effective interventions. He is still the only one in the world who obtained his Ph.D. on this subject.

The increased aging population within Dutch and European organizations makes his work topical. Aart has now researched 'the social renewal power of generational diversity' with a few hundred organizations, has written numerous articles and six books about generational diversity, and is a much sought-after speaker.

Together with Audry Bron, he discovered that the ingredients for an inclusive organization are also applicable for generational diversity.

Audry Bron

Audry Bron has a bi-cultural background. She was born in Suriname and has lived in the Netherlands since she was five years old. Audry has experiential and scientific knowledge about various themes of diversity & inclusivity.

Over the past 15 years, Audry has contributed to solving complex projects in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams. In addition, she immersed herself in the management of cultural diversity and global communication through a double Master of Arts at Tilburg University. Audry approaches inclusion from a communication perspective and through an intercultural lens.

Mission

We support working communities in creating inclusive organizations in which diversity is seen as a potential force that both increases collective performance and promotes well-being and social development. At the same time, we support environmentally responsible production and services.

Vision

Globalization is increasing the enrichment of visible and invisible cultural diverse demography in many countries around the globe and within their labor force. Many organizations, however, experience challenges employing and retaining a diverse workforce while constructively creating an inclusive environment for their employees. Both elements are vital ingredients for the success of any organization. Recent research – including by McKinsey – indicates that diverse workforces demonstrably perform better, and inclusive work environments promote the well-being of employees. When people feel seen, heard, and valued, regardless of their backgrounds, they contribute with their best authentic selves, while contributing to peace and social tranquility in the surrounding society.

Our basic attitude

We are peaceful and connecting, but do not run away from confrontations that are necessary to move forward together. And we like to keep it light, without losing the reality of it too

We are realistically positive and look at what is wanted and what is possible. We do not look away from what goes 'wrong', but above all to learn from it. We do not believe in looking for guilty parties, but in looking for blind spots, causes and consequences. We are reliable partners, honest and straightforward, and we are always open to feedback. We believe that this is how you get the farthest together.

We can deal with all layers of the organization, from the shop floor to the top and vice versa. We can move from diversity to inclusion and from inclusion to diversity.
